New Students must file an application with the Admissions and Records Office or the Morgan Hill or Hollister sites at least 5 business days prior to registering.
After your admission application is processed you will receive an email with instructions on how to access your Gavilan ID number. Once you obtain your Gavilan ID number you may sign up for the Placement Assessment Test.

** NOTE:
- Priority 1, Priority 2 and Priority 3 eligibility criteria include good academic standing (e.g. not on probation for 2 consecutive semesters or dismissal); less than 100 units total excluding 30 units of basic skills or ESL classes.
- New student Priority 3 eligibility includes successful completion of assessment, education plan and orientation.
- : If you have lost your enrollment priority and believe you have extenuating circumstances you may submit an appeal form.
- A "returning" student has been absent from 神马福利我不卡 for one school year (3 semesters).
A new application is required. Not eligible for priority registration.

- You are a continuing student or have been admitted to Gavilan and been issued a Gavilan ID number.
- You have no "holds".
- You have successfully completed course prerequisites at 神马福利我不卡 or have been verified though assessment or evaluation of official transcripts from another college.
- You are not in "dismissed" status.
