The STEM Center
Founded in 2017, Gavilan's STEM Center provides a centrally located space for STEM students to meet, study, and bu ild community. T textbooks , technology, and other supplies are available for in room use or semester loan. F faculty, staff, and trained peer tutors are available to academically support student success in Math, Physics, Biology, Chemistry , and Computer Science courses.

Open Mondays through Thursdays from 9am-6pm (study space & some tutors avaialble)
STEM Center tutoring will be closed for holidays:
- Feb 13 -16 (President's Day)
- March 31 (Cesar Chavez Day)
- April 6-12 (Spring Break)
Can't make it in-person? No Problem!
Online appointments will be offered through Make 15 to 45 minutes appointments online with one of our tutors for individualized support. Appointments can be one-on-one or as a group!
Tutoring Appointments on Zoom - Starting
STEM Center/Math Lab Canvas shell
Gavilan students enrolled in any level math or science course will be automatically uploaded to the " STEM Center/Math Lab" Canvas shell each semester. This is not a course.
Book an online appointment through before using the STEM Center's private Zoom link for online tutoring. Drop-in tutoring will no longer be offered.
When you show up for your appointment, our Zoom Host will greet you and ask for your student ID (G#) to clock you into the TimeKeeper system upon arrival. The Zoom host will create a breakout room for you and the tutor for your session. You are welcome to bring your classmates - group tutoring online is encouraged!
To cancel or reschedule a booked appointment, please use . Repeat no-shows to booked appointments will be tracked by student ID and may result in intervention.
